Empowering Young Minds with Technology at Basisschool de Twijn: Inspiring Future Innovators in Terneuzen

At BIERESSE, we are passionate about empowering young minds with the wonders of technology. Every Monday, we had the pleasure of conducting a series of engaging and hands-on technology workshops for 30 Group 5 and 6 students at Basisschool de Twijn in Terneuzen. Our goal was to inspire and educate these future innovators through diverse and interactive activities.

Our workshops covered a wide range of exciting topics, including generative AI, Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, drones, and virtual reality (VR). We guided students as they used AI to create pictures of their future careers and produced captivating LEGO stop motion videos with generative AI. These activities not only sparked their creativity but also provided them with a glimpse into the future of technology.

Students explored the fascinating world of IoT by building smart homes out of LEGO, learning how everyday objects can be interconnected to enhance our lives. Our robotics sessions featured interactive robot dogs, allowing students to gain insights how to use them to work together to collect objectives with the machines.

The excitement continued with hands-on experiences with drones, where students learned about the principles of flight and the various applications of drone technology. Virtual reality sessions transported them to new worlds, expanding their horizons and showcasing the limitless possibilities of VR.

We are proud to have had the opportunity to work with the enthusiastic and curious students of Basisschool de Twijn. Their energy and eagerness to learn have been truly inspiring, and we look forward to continuing our mission of nurturing young minds through technology education
